Who we are

Our website address is https://dev3lop.com DEV3LOPCOM, LLC based out of Austin Texas. Canopys website: https://canopys.io is used to house our software and any text documentation related to the software. If you have questions about the software, contact tyler@dev3lop.com!

What data is Canopys software sending to dev3lopcom, LLC?

We do not do any phone home data.

The only data tracked is by Auth0, which is only for signing into canopys.

This means we have no way of accessing your passwords, nor will hackers. Auth0 allows us to dedicate our team to building the best-in-class productivity tools, gives you more security, and removes stress about permissions or authorization. If you have questions about the software, contact tyler@dev3lop.com, otherwise please contact Auth0.

Canopys writes and reads to a SQLite database, this SQLite database is installed on your computer locally only.

Does Canopys back up my information?

We are not backing up what’s stored in your Canopys software, a.k .a. SQLite database. The SQLite database is on your computer and that means you can read, write, backup, edit, and have a great time.

If you’re worried about a backup, please backup your Canopys SQLite database!

Canopys is not currently a cloud software and we are not offering cloud storage.

We will have an offline version and a cloud version in the future. Anyone not interested in cloud storage of their task commands or schedules will be accounted for in a future release.

Comments on blogs

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. We won’t post comments with “scary” backlinks. We won’t accept any comments that look somewhat fake.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

No one, except you.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely or until the site admin gets tired of the comment. This is so we can manage the comments in an “easy mode” and approve any follow-up comments.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. This paragraph is only relevant to active bloggers on this website.

What rights do you have over your data

We don’t keep your data, there’s nothing to worry about.
